HOOD INDUSTRIES SCAN
CLIENT: CARTER MILLER ASSOCIATES

Tice Engineering was selected by Carter Miller Associates, Ltd. to perform a topographic survey of the outside of the existing plywood mill at Hood Industries in Wiggins, MS. The site is approximately 10 acres with the building being 5 acres. The survey will be used to design a building that will overbuild the existing structure and eventually replace the existing building. The Trimble SX10 and a drone were utilized to complete the survey. The SX10 was used as a terrestrial LiDAR scanner to survey all the ground level features and outer building walls. While the drone was used to add survey data from the ground level features and collect data on top of the building. This data was processed and prepared using Trimble Business Center and Auto Cad Civil 3D.
