CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE)
CLIENT: STONE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Tice Engineering was hired by Eley Guild Hardy Architects of Biloxi, Mississippi to design the civil site components of the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Center for the Stone County School District.  The project consist of a 22,354 square feet of instructional and laboratory space.  The new facility will allow the Stone County School District to expand existing CTE programs which provides training and certifications which allow students to begin work as soon as they graduate high school.  The project is estimated to be completed in Fall 2023.

The civil portion of the design included site grading, drainage, on-site utilities, parking, and roadway design.  Tice Engineering was able to assist the school district with acquiring an MDOT Transportation Alternatives grant to offset the cost of transportation safety features in providing a Safe Route to School for high school students.  Tice Engineering also completed storm water permitting and assisted with several environmental studies on-site.
