DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
EAST BORDRE AVENUE, CAVERS AVENUE, LIBRARY, & CLUBHOUSE DRIVE
CLIENT: CITY OF WIGGINS

Tice Engineering was hired by the City of Wiggins to oversee the citywide Drainage Improvements. These improvements consisted of two drainage roadway crossings and approximately 700 feet of eroding open ditches. The repairs were prompted from a May 2018 and May 2019 storm events in which erosion around a pipe on East Border exposed a sink hole adjacent to the high school field house. This same event produced excessive flow through the open ditch at Caver’s Avenue, which saw significant erosion. The May 2019 event eroded the shoulder on Clubhouse Drive which was subsequently temporarily shored by city personnel until a permanent solution was constructed.
